Barbour County Animal Control will have Spay/Neuter vouchers available. With this voucher, you will receive $75.00 off the price of getting your pet spayed or neutered only. This is made possible by the hard work of Barbour County Animal Control, Barbour County Commission and WVDA/WVSNP.
Directions to receive a voucher is as follows, please read carefully.

The Barbour County Commission is pleased to announce Wolfe Run Mining, LLC- Leer South as the 2020 recipient of the Emergency and Crisis Management Exemplary Community Award. Through this award, the Barbour County Commission is recognizing the work being done in Barbour County to prevent, prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies and disasters. This recognition is for exceptional service and achievement in emergency crisis preparedness.
Wolfe Run Mining, LLC- Leer South began an “Emergency Warning Training” program with collaboration from numerous local, state and federal agencies for the Little Hackers Creek Slurry Impoundment. They strive to continually improve their Emergency Warning Plan by focusing on the experiences, relationships, and leadership of community partners. They were awarded at the December 18th County Commission Meeting.
